In this recurrant dream, I find myself in my desceased sister’s large abandoned home. Sometimes I have friends with me and there will be a lunch involved or some other meet up so they can see the house. While in the house, my desceased sister will walk in and find us there. She becomes very angry with me and she tells me to never do it again. Sometimes when the dream happens, it is her deceased husband who finds us and he is equally angry to find me there, other times it’s both of them. There are secret tunnels under the house that frighten me, and an ancient religious building at the end of one tunnels.
The other night I dreamed that my husband and I were going to fix up the house and live there. It had a beautiful ocean view and we hated to see it fall apart. I never saw my sister and brother in law, but the neighbors came over and told us we needed to leave, even after they found out we were family.
I have been having similar dreams regarding the house at least one or two times a month for over two years now. The scenario is a bit different each time, but I have the same outcome. My sister and brother in law did not abandon their beautiful home in real life, so I’m very confused about what this dream is trying to tell me, especially since I have it so often.
Your recurrent dream about being in your deceased sister’s large, abandoned home, with variations involving friends, lunches, secret tunnels, an ancient religious building, and plans to fix up the house, suggests deep emotional processing. The presence of your sister and brother-in-law, expressing anger at finding you there, could symbolize unresolved feelings or guilt related to your relationship with them or their passing. The house itself, especially given its large and abandoned nature, might represent aspects of your past or aspects of your sister’s life that you are exploring or trying to understand.
The secret tunnels and ancient religious building could signify hidden emotions or spiritual questions that you are grappling with, possibly related to loss, memory, and legacy. The neighbors telling you to leave, despite being family, might reflect internal conflicts about your rights to memories or legacies left behind by loved ones.
The fact that you are having this dream recurrently suggests that these themes are significant and persistent in your subconscious mind. It might be an invitation to reflect on your feelings about your sister and brother-in-law, their impact on your life, and how you process grief and memory.
In the near future, you might find new ways to connect with these memories or gain new insights into your feelings about the past and the legacy left by loved ones. This process could be an important part of your emotional healing and personal growth.
